I have had my Coby MP3 player for about a month now and it worked it great from the start. Read the user manual from cover to cover and couldn’t believe how easy it was to use. This player also comes with a USB cable (even though you can insert the player directly into a USB port for direct transfer), a AAA battery, and ear bud headphones. You can also store all kinds of files (Word, Excel, JPEG, etc). A great value! I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another Coby product in the future.

Customer Review: It doesn’t work…
I bought this MP3 for running, and because it was so cute. I brought it home, charged it up, and put my music on. Took it to the track and it worked, but the battery died after about 30 minutes. Brought it home, re-charged it, and it would never work again. I exchanged it for another one, and the same thing happened. It worked one time. I finally just took it back and got my money back…

Customer Review: The Good and The Bad
I brought one of these for my bf and myself. My bf mp3 was stolen, so i ordered another seeing that mine was working so well. I had absolutely no problem with mine up to this day, i love it.
The headphones are great, the sound equality is great, the screen is so great but what more do you expect. The mic recording feature is excellent.
the battery life is pretty good also. I never had to reset and it never froze up on me. Putting songs on it is so easy this is a great product.

So why am i giving it 3 stars, because the other one i ordered i had to send it back it last 2 weeks. First thing i notice with it, was that the picture stuck on the outside was different and it had no plastic to protect the screen which mine had. after about a two days the volume key became real hard the press that was ok till i noticed the entire panel was shaking that panel with left, right, plus, minus. That was still ok with my bf cause it stilled worked. Then one day it just died, real disappointing.

i don’t understand how mine is still running beautifully and that one was such poor quality. Coby you get a thumps down for being so inconsistent.

Customer Review: You Get What You Pay For
First off, I bought mine to replace a similarly grey labeled cheapo mp3 boombox. Don’t be fooled, unless you plan to spend over $50 on a boombox, you aren’t going to get an audiophile’s dream. That’s what I knew from experience, that’s what I expected. I listen to a lot of spoken word material, so I’m not exactly looking for Dolby 5.1 quality surround sound for $30.

The player does work well, though I’ve found the volume and tuning dials to be in an awkward location, basically behind the unit. Easy to avoid hitting accidentally when operating buttons and switches, but hard to find when blindly looking for them.

One issue I have is how it’s advertised on the box as having wide range speakers. Nothing could be further from the truth. But then again, that’s one of the risks in buying a cheap boombox.

Long story short, if you want something that plays back mp3s which you don’t need to wear headphones to hear, this is your cheapest bet. If you want high quality, go with a CD or Flash based mp3 portable with headphones.

i recieved this product in the mail today, brand new, and it DOES NOT WORK.. it just says “no disk” and trust me, im putting it in the right way. i am totally upset. coby would not help me because it was purchased off of ebay. regardless, it was NEVER OPENED and it was BRAND NEW.
im very upset.
having said that, i love all the features and items it comes with, and wish that this wasnt happening to me!! this was the only one i really liked during my research..
i would hope that this particular dvd player was just.. one of those bad ones…
