I got this player for my 5 year old and so far we have had no problems with it. She uses it often and its great for travel. She is able to operate it and the fact that it has a speaker is great so that she doesn’t have to use head phones. I use a mac so loading music was a simple drag and drop onto the player.

Customer Review: Fantastic and Affordable
Well I had this little guy for about a year and it was great, it sounded great, the battery lasted for about 8 hours, and it was affordable. This is a great option for people who just want something that can play music fabulously. The menu takes about five minutes to get used to and you can just plug it into the computer and drag and drop files on it very easily.
The Screen is bright enough for dark settings but sunlight completely drowns it. Also the miniSD card slot is a great way to increase the memory at low cost. BUY if you’re looking for sturdy affordable alt. to the Ipod shuffle or anything else that says it sounds great and is cheap. Beware though this mp3 player doesn’t get earshattering loud on the volume. just loud enough at times. but still a good buy.
Customer Review: Worst product ever.
When I first came across this product I thought what a sensible alternative to the apple nano, hey it even has an FM receiver. I was even willing to overlook the one comment posted by another amazon user claiming the product was a dud. Well I am here to confirm that review, that this bit of silcon and plastic isn’t worth the raw materials it is made from. While loading songs on the flash drive was easy, getting the unit to even turn on is not. It DOES not work as advertised, it DOES not work period. Had I the inclination and time I would have returned it. To be honest had I bought it from a store and not via the web I would have returned it immediately. Instead I am out the $45 or so I spent.
Please don’t waste your money on this piece of c&@p. And I only gave it one star because it won’t allow you to give zero stars.

At the risk of repeating everyone else’s reviews here, let me just say :
This is a sweet MP3 player! And I have had several over the years.
1. Windows XP recognized it immediately as a Sansa Fuze 2GB player when I plugged it into the USB port. No proprietary software is required… just plug it in and get started.
2. Use plain ol’ Windows Media Player to rip your favorite songs from audio CDs and create WMP playlists, then transfer the playlists (complete with album art, even!) to the Sansa Fuze. Believe me, they could NOT have made this any easier.
3. I filled up just over 1GB of my Sansa with 88 songs each sampled at a 320 Kbps rate. And thanks to the easy navigation menus, I can find any of those songs within seconds.
I have not yet tried it’s video capabilities, but I don’t care about that anyway. When I’m working out at the gym, all I want is my music… and this thing as an MP3 music player is worth the price alone.

I like it very much. i bought a refurbished one but it looks like new, it doesn’t even have any scratches and it arrived so quick. It doesn’t have a charger so I have to charge mine in my computer using a USB and it didn’t came with a manual so I kinda have to play with it but after maybe 5 hours i already knew everything. I love my sansa but i love downloading music and videos and 2 gb is just not enough, i’m thinking of buying the 5.5 Gen 80 gb Ipod and give mine to my husband.

Customer Review: I sent it back….enough said?
My Sansa Fuze didn’t work out of the box. The sound was distorted and if you just even barely grazed the ear bud cord, the thing would sound like a skipping CD. I thought maybe it was just a problem w/ the ear buds, but I tried another set with no change. The buttons and having to spin the little control was just too confusing. In the end, I just ended up sending the thing back to get a refund. I wouldn’t buy another one of these again.
Customer Review: Not very happy with the product
I have used the iPod for over 4 years. This time when my ipod conked, I thought I’d try the Sansa after checking some reviews. I am not very happy with the product. The transition from iPod to Sansa left a bad taste and I would still favor the iPod both for the sound quality and the ease of use. The only area that the Sansa beats iPod is probably the price.

I am sorry but something is amiss here. I ordered this product to use with my sansa E280 MP3 player and the supplier was Electronics Expo. What they sent me was either an old design or the design of my MP3 player was new but, the bottom line is, none of the holes lined up, the case ripped upon my attempt to fit it on the unit and, basically their return policy made it doubtful that I would receive any kind of consideration because after a package is open it is unreturnable, as per their return policy. Where can I get a case that will be suitable for this unit to be worn with an armband? Can’t seem to find anything else.
Customer Review: Good fit and function
If you’re looking to protect your unit, this cover does the job. It fits perfectly and you can still use all the controls without difficulty. The cover does not offer any protection for the screen, though, so if that’s a concern you’ll probably want to choose from other covers.

Looks like an IPOD, but is cheaper and has more functions. My only problem with it occurred once. The unit froze and would not respond to any commands. However there is a reset button, so this is easily solved. More music&pictures&videos can be put on a SD memory card and inserted, therefore increasing the capacity. Many different features in this unit, overall a very well made product.

This is a nice little MP3 player for music. Sound quality is very good plus it has an equalizer. There is a display which makes it a cut above any that do not while keeping the price low. It does not download books well or at least I haven’t figured it out.

The SanDisk Sansa Clip requires no special software to work with Windows XP or Linux and plays MP3 and — with the 01.01.29 firmware — Ogg Vorbis files. Sound quality is good through my Grados.
But….
I bought two 1-gb Clips, one for my son and one for my nephew. One worked. The other could be charged and could play the sample songs that came on it but would not be recognized by any of the computers that recognized the first unit. I checked SanDisk’s support forum, where most posts about this problem were met with the same response: you must be doing something wrong. An e-mail to SanDisk support is still unanswered almost a month later. Amazon accepted a return of the defective unit and cross-shipped a replacement, which works.
So SanDisk gets two stars, the Sansa Clip gets four, and Amazon gets five.
